Krata Connections

We like bringing people together, both individually and in groups.

Due to the breadth of our network, we can draw on a wide range of thinkers and practitioners to engage in matters we would like to raise or address. If you have a project or idea that is related to our activities and you want to make a connection, contact us now to discuss further

We run ongoing projects that connect people and one-off events to bring different parts of a puzzle together.

Birth Rites: Born screening, 30th September 2008
We are collaborating with the Birth Rites art exhibition to bring influencers, decision makers and opinion formers to the screening of the art documentary, Born, which explores the practice of childbirth in the UK today. This Krata Connection is supported and funded by Manchester Beacon.

Thinkingwomen: ongoing
We also run a women's network, thinkingwomen, to provide an opportunity for women to get together and discuss social, environmental, economic and emotional issues, hearing from other women and learning from their experiences. We are keen to work with other women's networks to develop a community of women willing to act as mentors for each other and younger women.

100 Months Club, March 2008
Krata organised the launch of the 100 Months Club attended by the heads of over 30 leading businesses and organisations in Manchester, and addressed by the Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Those attending focused on specific actions to accelerate positive measures to mitigate climate change. They discussed with the Minister what measures of support might help them in their actions. We are now developing an onward programme of action.
