Oneless

The Oneless project has several objectives:

- to promote reuse and reduce pollution through the provision of sustainable alternatives

- to take a sustainable product to market and explore the challenges facing inventors and entrepreneurs trying to start up businesses in the UK today

- to inspire and promote the development of further sustainable products

- to 'brand' existing sustainable products that meet our exacting social and environmental criteria

Summary
We designed a shopper bag that folds up into its own little pocket. We identified reclaimed saris as a sustainable and practical fabric to reuse in making the bags. We use UK and Indian homeworkers and sell to about 20 independent retailers. We have recently completed a pilot with Oxfam, producing bags for 95 Oxfam stores using sari fabric donated to Oxfam.
