Krata Research

Krata has now established a research programme exploring the underlying social issues that affect our ability to achieve sustainability and the methods through which sustainable responsibility can be encouraged.

The Krata Research programme focuses on four key, interconnected themes:

  • Creative engagement: storytelling, ethnography, art, futures thinking, innovation, subliminal, surreal, activism, multimedia, ICT, knowledge management.
  • Collaboration: enabling and disabling processes, cultural and behavioural factors, world views, technology, usability, functionality, critical mass, tipping points.
  • Motivation: inspirations, cultural and behavioural influences, opinion formers, prohibitions, positive/negative assertion, habit
  • Empowerment: endorsement, affirmation, sponsorship, coaching, mentoring, permission, organisational cowardice
These themes underpin every Krata project as they are conceived, developed and implemented

We are developing creative ways of sharing our insights and discoveries around these themes. In traditional thinktank style, we are putting together text-based interventions such as publishing pamphlets but we are also keen on sharing research in other ways as well... A particular enthusiasm is through making Krata Connections

The first Krata Collection is in development, focusing on collaboration and sustainability. If you want to find out more, get in touch.
