Drawing from the vision of 'People working together to change their situation for the better', Krata connects the three strands of sustainability to foster social responsibility, environmental respect and economic viability in the NW community.

Krata activities are as follows:

• Krata Community: community facing projects focused on Manchester and the North West and funded by NW and UK bodies.
• Krata Research: research programme exploring the underlying social issues that affect our ability to achieve sustainability and the methods through which sustainable responsibility can be encouraged.
• Krata Connections: introducing people, arranging projects and holding events that bring together different sectors of society - academic, business, public and third sector - to interrupt and challenge entrenched attitudes, to inform and entertain, encouraging outside the box thinking

We devise projects ourselves and look for collaborations, or we work with others to help progress their passions and projects. We are building up a group of Krata Associates and improving our ability to get funding to make it all happen...
